Meet the artist. A former seamstress, Yetta Braverman has always enjoyed making things; knitting and crocheting are among her favorite hobbies to this day. After she and her husband, Jacob, moved to the Home in 2008, Yetta was encouraged to give painting a try. At the age of 89, an artist was born. Yetta's brilliant paintings include the touching Mother and Child, as seen here, as well as many vibrant still life and landscape works. Born in Manhattan in 1920, Yetta has three sons and three grandsons, and loves the activities and opportunities for involvement at the Home.
