Philanthropy and the Community

Leadership and Advocacy for the Home in the 21st Century

Jewish Home Leadership Forum

LeadershipDynamic young leaders are an integral part of the Los Angeles Jewish Home's future. The Jewish Home Leadership Forum (JHLF) is an innovative program designed to develop new leaders committed to the Home's mission of providing our seniors with the compassionate care they deserve.

The JHLF empowers its participants to actively participate in the future of the Jewish Home community. Through a series of interactive networking and philanthropic events, informative presentations, discussions, and mentorship opportunities, members will fine tune leadership skills, develop important contacts and continue to give back in meaningful ways. Members will also learn about a wide variety of opportunities to become active in the Home and serve as its ambassadors and advocates.

A short application and brief telephone or in-person interview is required for all prospective members. Applicants may apply directly or following nomination by a member of the community at large. Qualified applicants will have natural leadership skills, an interest in life-long community service and a willingness to commit to initiatives or events, usually held evenings or on Sundays.

Marilyn & Monty Hall Statesman's Society

the Premier Donor Society of the Jewish Home

Statesman's SocietyThe Statesman's Society is named in honor of the inaugural recipients of the Jewish Home's Lifetime Achievement Award, Marilyn and Monty Hall. Each year, Society events recognize the growing circle of prominent donors who provide annual gifts to the Home of $5,000 and above.

The newly created Patron Circle further distinguishes annual contributors of $10,000 and above.

Society events and awards receptions are typically held by members in their own homes. Hosted by Monty Hall, who personally welcomes and introduces guests speakers, events also serve to inform members of developments in the field of senior care and of the Home's innovative responses to the community's evolving needs.

For information about the Society, contact Corey Slavin at 818.774.3031 or Corey.Slavin@jha.org.
