Choosing a new home is one of the most important decisions we make, and the right choice goes a long way toward determining the quality of life we enjoy for years to come.
Whether you are considering the Jewish Home for yourself, a friend or loved one, we welcome your interest. Our friendly Admissions staff is prepared to provide you with a personal tour of the Home and authoritative answers to all your questions.
We encourage you to meet and speak with as many people as possible — staff, volunteers, and residents — throughout the application process, and welcome any question or concern whatsoever that you may have about residence at the Jewish Home.
Admission to the Jewish Home
We encourage applicants and their families to tour our campuses. A resident volunteer, who can share a valuable perspective on daily life at the Home, conducts the tour for all independent residents. We also encourage you to speak with other residents and staff members. Allow about 90 minutes for the tour.
Afterward, we provide you with an Application Packet containing a Personal Information Form and a Physician's Report.
The Jewish Home has been called "the best long-term residential care facility in Southern California."
Once you have met admissions criteria, you may select your residence, based on availability. Because appropriate residences are not always immediately available, the Admissions Team meets regularly to review each applicant’s priority of need. Upon admission, the applicant and family sign admissions documents, meet their social worker, and view their residence. This appointment generally takes two hours.
To begin the application process and schedule a tour, please complete the Residence Inquiry Form.
The Jewish Home is non-sectarian and welcomes seniors of all faiths, ethnicities, and cultures.
