TEAS Entrance Examination
The Test of Essential Academic Skills test (TEAS) is a pre-entry test used to evaluate the academic preparedness of students entering the vocational nursing program. The TEAS consists of a total of 170 questions in four subtext areas: Math, Science, English, and Reading.
Test scores will be available immediately following the test.
Applicants who fail to establish the minimum cut-off score in each area will be required to retake the entire exam. There must be a minimum of one month between test dates. Each test is considered a combined complete entity. There will be NO combination of scores from separate tests. TEAS exam results are valid for one (1) year.
The TEAS test may be repeated only one time with the best composite score used for admission.
Go to www.atitesting.com to register to test. You will be given a username and password. You will need this username and password on your test date.
If you have previously taken the TEAS exam within the year you can request your admission results (official transcript) from ATI to be sent directly to us. (Please note, the TEAS exam must reflect all four subtext areas: Math, Science, English, and Reading.)
The TEAS exam is administered during enrollment only. Enrollment for the 2012 class will begin January 2012. Please check our website for Open House information. The exam fee is $50.00, cash, money order, or cashiers check. No personal checks or credit or debit cards will be accepted. Re-test fees are the same as the original fee of $50.00. TEAS exams in 2012 will be administered by appointment.
You will not be permitted to register on the day of the exam. To reschedule an exam, you must contact the school no later than Monday prior to your scheduled exam. If you miss your scheduled exam, you will forfeit your exam fee, and will have to restart the process from the beginning, including paying the fee, and scheduling another date.
There are limited seats available so plan to register as early as possible. Register here.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes early and bring at least 2 forms of identification; one must be photo identification such as a driver's license, state issued ID card, military ID, or passport. You will not be admitted to the examination without a photo ID. You will not be admitted to the examination if you arrive late. The test sessions lasts about 3-1/2 hours. You may not use calculators, and no electronic equipment of any kind is allowed in the test room, including translation devices. Giving, receiving, or exchanging information while the examination is in progress is not permitted under any circumstances. Examinees are not permitted to refer to materials of any kind during the exam. The examiner has the authority to terminate the exam for any individual who does not adhere to the above rules.

- Documentation of an evaluation by a state-licensed professional qualified to diagnose your particular disability. This evaluation must have been made within the past three years and must include information about the licensing and credentials of the evaluator as well as the procedure used to diagnose the disability.
Your report will indicate that you took the examination under non-standard conditions.
