Short-Term Rehabilitative Care for Seniors

The Ida Kayne Transitional Care Unit (TCU) at the Los Angeles Jewish Home is designed to help seniors successfully transition back to the pleasures and demands of daily life after an illness, injury, medical procedure, or hospital stay.

Expert medical and rehabilitative staff and state-of-the-art facilities make the Ida Kayne TCU the ideal partner on the path to recovery and wellness.

Short-term residents at the Ida Kayne TCU receive treatment from geriatric specialists in physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and enjoy full access to all of the clinical and support services of the Jewish Home.

Admission

The Ida Kayne TCU welcomes individuals 55 and over. The average length of stay is 2-6 weeks, though longer stays of up to 90 days are possible. The Ida Kayne Transitional Care Unit accepts private insurance or Medicare.

Located in the Mark Taper Building on the Jewish Home's Grancell Village campus, the Unit's facilities offer one private and seventeen double-occupancy rooms.
