community time togetherFounded in 1912, the world-renowned Los Angeles Jewish Home is one of the foremost multi-level senior living communities in the United States, and the largest single source provider of senior housing in Los Angeles.

The Home is a multi-level senior living facility, with options including independent, residential, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and acute behavioral health. The Home also provides the Skirball Hospice, community clinics, and support groups.

In total, the Jewish Home annually serves more than 1,700 seniors through an extraordinary continuum of services. Each year more than 1,200 seniors are cared for in-residence on two beautifully landscaped, secure village campuses spanning 16 acres. Another 500 seniors are served through the Home's community-based programs.

Meals

Dietary laws are observed by the Jewish Home. Three kosher meals are served daily (over 1,000,000 annually). Milk and meat are not served at the same time. Some foods are prohibited under the laws of kashrut, including pork and shellfish.

Spiritual and Religious Services

The choir sings!Services are available for all religious and spiritual needs, regardless of faith. Rabbinical staff on both village campuses provides spiritual counseling, educational classes, religious services, and the celebration and observance of all Jewish holidays.

The Jewish Home specializes in "life-enhancing," world-class medical care that exceeds government standards. This includes fully-staffed, on-site medical clinics on each campus, providing easy access to a broad spectrum of medical services. Specialities include: Audiology, Cardiology, Chiropractic, Dental, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pulmonology, and Urology.


Jewish Home Activities

Numerous amenities are offered to ensure an active, secure lifestyle in a warm environment. Our holistic approach to healthy aging cares for the body, mind, and spirit. Residents enjoy 22,250 plus activities each year. Each campus provides creative arts, social and recreational activities, exercise classes such as T'ai Chi and yoga, clubs, volunteer opportunities, cultural events, intergenerational programs, educational classes, concerts, films, and music appreciation. A gift shop, bank, post office, beauty salon and spa, computer laboratory and library, snack bar, synagogue, therapy and fitness center are located on each campus. Transportation to local shopping centers, cultural events and other scheduled outings is provided.
